La P’tite Framboise is Port Washington’s premiere French restaurant. A cozy, intimate atmosphere takes this Long Island town straight to the French country side where classic recipes are served with a piece of hot, fresh baguette and classic pate. At “The Little Raspberry,” unique specials like Mussels Monday and Pasta Night offer guests an opportunity to sample continental flavors and save.
As a member of the Port Washington community, La P’tite Framboise takes an active role, participating in events such as the Gold Coast Film Festival. But food comes first. “The onion soup gratinée is a very good starter, bubbling and bracing. The frisée aux lardons, capped with a poached egg and studded with nuggets of bacon, also suits the place. Generous pots of steamed mussels are popular. Try the one finished with Pernod and a little cream,” writes Peter Gianotti of Newsday.
For classic French fare in a quaint, comfortable setting, La P’tite Framboise cannot be outdone. Whether it’s brunch, lunch or dinner, service is always on point. Desserts are never an afterthought, as well, with recipes that draw on classic French culinary thinking. Classic creme brulee, tarte tatin and mousse au chocolate highlight the award-winning dinner menu and Port Washington has shown their love.
