In the heart of Huntington village

Huntington village, Long Island’s premiere restaurant destination, is home to Salumeria Pomodoro, a unique modern Italian experience that presents upscale cuisine in a casual Manhattan style ambience. Proud owners (and brothers) Jason and Eric Machado curated a menu together with Chef Paul Miranda that utilizes fresh local ingredients. “We pride ourselves on an authentic menu; our meals are made from scratch with local ingredients. Yet there is a modern touch. These dishes are not something you will find on everyones menu. That’s what separates us from the pack.” says Chef Paul Miranda.

Having opened in the summer of 2016, Pomodoro is already garnering local praise. Amongst the highest rated restaurants in the area, Pomodoro struck a nerve by offering exquisite food at moderate prices in an atmosphere that can best be described as comfortable and inviting.

Our contemporary menu includes such favorites as Bucatini all’Amatriciana, thick spaghetti with guanciale, red onions, garlic, crushed red pepper, tomatoes, pecorino romano, and Roasted Chicken “Diavola,” an organic half chicken marinated in spicy rosemary pan jus served with broccoli rabe and rosemary lemon potatoes. The difference here is the homemade pasta. The organic free range chicken. The use of guanciale, a premium pork cheek bacon. The use of only the finest ingredients is why we stand alone as the premiere contemporary Italian experience.

Love a charcuterie plate? We have curated a list of the finest imported cheeses and prosciuttos in the world for you to enjoy. Many of our customers love sipping a glass of Chianti while sampling our Grande Selezione, a carefully selected board of cheese and cured meats. We even make our own. Try our house cured soppressata, available spicy or sweet, you won’t regret it!

Whether you prefer salads, appetizers, pastas, or entrees, Salumeria Pomodoro has something to offer every palette.
